Intercounty baseball Thunderbirds look for second win

The idle Hamilton Thunderbirds moved up in the Intercounty Baseball League ( ) standings thanks to the misfortunes of others.

With Brantford Red Sox beating Kitchener 6-3 Wednesday night, the Panthers fell 4 1/2 games out of first place. The Thunderbirds, who play on Saturday afternoon (2 p.m.) in Brantford, are four games back of league leaders, and unbeaten after five games, London Majors.

Hamilton is home to London on Sunday (2 p.m.) at Bernie Arbour Stadium. Hamilton has a 1-4 record in the senior league.
