ST. ALBANS, Vermont – Hamilton Lady Avalanche posted their fifth straight game without a loss on July 1, beating the Vermont Voltage 2-1.

Division leading Ottawa Fury also has two games in hand with their five point cushion on the Avalanche.

On Saturday, the Lady Voltage (3-6) took the lead in the 18 th minute with a goal from Christine Brosseau. That goal held for a 1-0 halftime lead.

But the Avalanche (5-4-1) evened the score off of a Lady Voltage own goal in the 56 th minute. The Avalanche took the lead in the 88 th minute when Chiara Greco beat Lady Voltage goalkeeper Kristin Luckenbell.

The Lady Voltage lost 5-0 against the Avalanche in their first meeting this season.

The Avalanche are in Rochester July 8, and play their next home game on Saturday, July 15, 7 p.m. at Brian Timmis Stadium.
