Ex-Eagle, Colt joins Ticats offensive line

With an eye to improving the offensive side of their game, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats have beefed up the O-line. Import offensive lineman Steve Sciullo, who turns 26 this month, has inked a contract with the Canadian Football League team, which lays down the welcome mat for the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday night.

Sciullo is 6-5 and 320 pounds. The native of Pittsburgh joins the Cats after spending three seasons in the National Football League, most recently with the Philadelphia Eagles, who released him last September.

He played 15 games, starting in five, for the Eagles. Prior to joining the Eagles, Sciullo was a members of the Indianapolis Colts. He was the 25th pick in the fourth round of the NFL’s 2003 draft. In his rookie season he started in 13 games for the Colts.

The Ticats-Argos game should move one of the teams out of the Eastern Division basement. Both teams have four points but the Argos have played one less game than their QEW rivals. Kickoff Saturday at Ivor Wynne is 7 p.m.
