Mountaineers get stung by Sting in OCAA women’s fastball

Snap. That’s the sound of the Mohawk women’s fastball win streak coming to an end. The Ontario College’s Athletic Association Mountaineers four-game run was cut off by the Seneca Sting who dropped Mohawk 4-2 in North York on Wednesday.

The Mountaineers, now 5-4, remain tied for third place with Kitchener’s Conestoga Condors, each with 10 points. However the Condors, at 5-6, have just one regular season game remaining, against Durham Friday. Mohawk has three games to play and they’ll take care of two of those this weekend when the Mountaineers visit Cambrian.

Mohawk finishes its regular season schedule on Monday at home against Durham. Gametime at Mohawk Sports Complex is 5:30 p.m.
