Volleyball Mountaineers score second straight win in OCAA women’s play

Mohawk is looking for its third straight win on Wednesday night after a four-set victory over the Sheridan Bruins improved the Mountaineers record to 2-0.

Mohawk remained undefeated in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association women’s play with a 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 25-19 match win over the Bruins whose fell to 1-2 in the Central West division after Thursday’s loss.

Janette Jakubiec (Dundas) had 10 kills, one block and one ace for 12 points. Leah Waxman (Port Dover) scored 11 points on nine kills and two aces and Stacy Dafoe (Paris) had eight kills and an ace for nine points.

On Wednesday (Nov. 15), the Mountaineers will travel to Sarnia to take on the Lambton Lions.
