Mohawk’s Cull adds national honour to OCAA volleyball recognition

Mohawk Mountaineer Jasmin Cull has been named the November Canadian Colleges Athletic Association Male Volleyball Athlete for Ontario.

Cull, a graduate of Ancaster High School and a third year Recreation and Leisure Services student at Mohawk, is a transfer student from Loyalist College in Belleville. The 6-4 left side player is a devastating hitter not only from his position but at the back of the court as well. He is also dangerous on the serve.

Cull led the Mountaineers to four match wins to start the season. This year, with the reigning OCAA champions, Cull has 62 kills, 11 service aces and two stuff blocks for 75 points. While averaging 5.77 points per game, he has excelled in tournament play, being selected to all-star teams at the Fanshawe Invitational, the Durham Tournament, and the Humber Cup.
