Mohawk’s Myjak takes women’s badminton title at invitational

Mohawk badminton ace Margaret Myjak continued her winning ways over the weekend.

The reigning Ontario Colleges Athletic Association champion and Canadian bronze medalist, won the women’s singles title at the Centennial Invitational Tournament in Scarborough. She also made it to the consolation final in mixed doubles before being defeated.

Myjak and possibly some team mates, are expected to go to Cambrian College in Sudbury next weekend (Jan. 19-21) as they tuneup for the West Regional Championships at Humber College in Etobicoke, Feb. 2-3.

This year’s OCAA Championships will be at Centennial, Feb. 17-18.
