Hamilton Bulldogs centre Mathieu Aubin has been reassigned to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the East Coast Hockey League.
Aubin, 20, had been called up to the American Hockey League team to help fill the void left when the Bulldogs temporarily lost players to the National Hockey League’s Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers.
With the return of Maxim Lapierre from the Canadiens and Zack Stortini from the Oilers this week, Aubin was returned to the Cyclones.
Aubin has appeared in 11 games with Hamilton this season, recording four points (2-2-4) and four penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 204-pound rookie has also registered 14 points (4-10-14), a plus-6 rating and 16 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Cyclones.
The Sorel, Quebec, native was a fifth round selection (130th overall) by the Canadiens in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
