Bulldogs lose to Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights


On Wednesday night, the Bulldogs lost 3-1 to the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. The loss drops the Bulldogs record to 34-21-2-3 on the season.

Omaha opened the scoring at 13:03 of the frame when Cam Cunning notched his seventh goal of the season. Hamilton responded at the 13:46 mark when Andre Benoit finished off a three-way passing play from Mikhail Grabovski and Duncan Milroy for his eighth tally of the campaign.

Warren Peters gave the Knights a 2-1 lead in the second period.

The Knights added an insurance marker with exactly 5:00 remaining in the third period. Brandon Prust posted his 11th of the season.

Between the pipes, Cedrick Desjardins made 21 saves on 24 shots in a losing effort for the Bulldogs, while Curtis McElhinney turned aside 24 of the 25 shots he faced.
