Silver, bronze medals taken by Mohawk at OCAA Curling finals

Mohawk won two medals at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Curling Championships, hosted by the Mountaineers.

The men’s team claimed the silver medal, losing 9-1 to powerful Seneca in the championship game played at the Glendale Golf and Country Club.

The Mountaineers had advanced to the final with an 8-2 decision over Algonquin, which captured the bronze.

In women’s play, Mohawk took the bronze medal after losing 8-6 to Algoma in their semi final. Algoma lost 9-7 to Fleming College of Peterborough in the gold medal match.

Mohawk failed to make the round in mixed play. Algonquin won the title, 10-3 over Peterborough Fleming. St. Clair won the bronze.
