Athletes from the Hamilton Olympic Club had more than competitors to battle at the recent University of Windsor Open Track and Field Meet.
Wind and cold challenged the field but the HOC brought home two firsts.
Mario Digby clocked 50.0 seconds in the men’s 400-metre run to grab gold while Miguel Wason posted a 21.44 time in the 200m event, which was the fastest time of the day including heats, to place first. Rigby placed fifth in the 200m race in 22.01.
Jillian Wyman took fourth in the women’s 800m, hitting the tape in 2:18.12 and was sixth in the women’s 400m with a time of 1:02.35.
Sarah Sable ran a 1:13.89 to finish seventh in the 400m hurdles.
Ben Wyman came in 12th in the 200m, clocking 27.54, and had a 2:27.20 for 10th in the 800m.
