McMaster Football Training Camp opens for 2007 season

The McMaster Football training camp opened on Monday with 117 student-athletes in camp. McMaster will prepare this week for a scrimmage game on Saturday August 25, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the University of Guelph.

McMaster performed strength, power and speed testing yesterday afternoon followed by their first practice of the season from 5:30 – 7:30 P.M.

The fastest players in camp were Runningbacks Matt Hutchinson (Second Year, Leamington, ON), and Ceasar Clayton (First Year) and Linebacker Jason Arakgi (Third Year, Oakville, ON), who turned in 4.45 times. The strongest player was Defensive Lineman, Kristian Consack (Fifth Year, Toronto, ON) who pushed 315 pounds, 5 times. The top vertical leap recorded was 41″ by Runningback, Tony Okorodudu (Second Year, Hamilton, Ontario)

McMaster Football Training Camp will continue throughout the week.

McMaster will open the season at the newly renovated University Stadium at Wilfrid Laurier on Monday September 3, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. The game will be broadcast locally on CFMU 93.3 FM and AM 900 CHML.

McMaster will open the season at home on Saturday September 8, 2007 at Ivor Wynne Stadium at 1:00 P.M. against Greg Marshall and the University of Western Ontario Mustangs.
