Thunderbirds continue elite baseball tryouts at Bernie Arbour

The 2007 World SANDLOTT Champion Canadian Thunderbirds Elite Baseball Club is conducting a series of additional tryouts at Hamilton’s Bernie Arbour Stadium.

The first session is set for Sunday, Sept. 2, at Hamilton’s Bernie Arbour Stadium from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Sept. 4 and Wednesday, Sept. 5 the tryouts will run from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The evaluation clinics (for two age divisions as of May 1, 2007) will run approximately three hours each. There is a $10.00 registration fee. The first three-hour session will be for development players 12 to 15 years of age. The second three hours will be for players 16 to 18 years of age.

The Canadian Thunderbirds have arranged over 250 college or university scholarships for Canadian players during the past seven years, tops in the nation. Scouts will be in attendance.
