Freshman gets his kicks in Mohawk’s men’s soccer debut

Mohawk Mountaineers men’s soccer team spent some quality time Bond-ing as they opened their Ontario Colleges Athletic Association regular season schedule. Freshman striker Adam Bond scored all Mohawks goals as the Mountaineers blanked the Sheridan College Bruins 3-0 in Oakville.

Bond had given Mohawk a 2-0 first half lead and completed the hat trick in the second half of the Western Region match up on Tuesday (Sept. 18). Branden Agro registered the shutout for Mohawk.

Mountaineers’ head coach Richard Bennett was very pleased with the way his team worked together, saying they performed like “soldiers.” The next action for Mohawk will be Wednesday (Sept. 26) when they go to London to meet the Fanshawe Falcons.
