Mohawk soccer women put best foot forward… times three

The Mohawk women’s soccer team got off to a great start in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association play. Travelling to Oakville, the Mountaineers returned home with a 3-0 shutout of the Sheridan Bruins in the opening game of the West Region season for both teams.

Kelsey Forbes, Jessica Lee and Heather Werkmen scored for the Mountaineers on Wednesday (Sept. 19).

Mohawk’s next game will be Tuesday (Sept. 25), when they meet the Fanshawe Falcons in London, winners of their first two games this season. The Falcons have a 2-0 win over Ancaster’s Redeemer University College and a 3-0 victory over Windsor St. Clair.
