Mohawk was 1-for-2 in key volleyball matchups at Humber College on Thursday (Jan. 31). The men spotted Humber a one set lead then stormed back to win in four games, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-15 in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association play.
With the victory, the Mountaineers are now 10-0 and four points ahead of the 8-2 Hawks.
The news, however, was not good for the Mohawk women as they bowed 3-1 to the home side. Humber grabbed the first two sets before the Mountaineers took a 25-23 decision in the third game.
However, the Hawks got back on track winning the fourth set 25-20. That’s two straight defeats for the Mountaineers, now 9-2. Humber improved to 11-1.
