Six teams to battle for Little League district crown in Stoney Creek

Stoney Creek Optimist Little League is going to play house for two weekends.

More precisely, the minor baseball association will be host for the 2008 District House League Tournament in just under two weeks time. Starting on June 13 and concluding on June 22, six house league teams from Ontario’s District 1 will compete in the annual Major Little League Tournament. Participating will be Ancaster, Dundas, Erindale, High Park (Toronto), Oakville, and Stoney Creek.

The round-robin format will feature two pools with the top two teams in each pool moving on to the semi-finals of the tournament. Erindale returns to defend the title it won last year when the tournament was staged in Ancaster.
