International elite youth baseball offers twin-bill tourneys

Some of the best elite youth teams in North America will converge on Hamilton diamonds for the Can Am international baseball tournaments for the 16 and under and the 18 and under age groups.

Troy, N.Y., the Ontario Blue Jays, the Western New York Katz, the Long Island (N.Y.) Tigers, Canadian Thunderbirds, the York County Cardinals, Niagara Falls (NY) Storm, the Ontario Tigers, the Brockville Allstars, the Charleston (S.C.) Diamond Devils, the Hamilton Cardinals, the Oakville Royals, the Montreal Titans, and the Stratford Nationals have registered for the tournaments.

The Canadian Thunderbirds will co-host the event with the City of Hamilton.

The tournament for the 15 and 16 year old age groups is scheduled for June 27, 28 and 29. Teams will using Bernie Arbour Stadium, the Mohawk Sports Complex, and the Heritage Green Sports Complex. The June 27th openers will be played at Bernie Arbour Stadium and Heritage Green complex beginning at 1 p.m.

Admission for the entire tournament is only $10 per person with all proceeds going to amateur sports and the Children’s Wish Foundation.

The 18 year old division will start on July 11 beginning at 1 p.m. at Bernie Arbour and Heritage Green.
