Hawks’ quick start to much for soccer Mountaineers

The visiting Mohawk Mountaineers got into a hole in the first half and couldn’t get out while dropping a 3-0 decision to Humber in women’s soccer on Thursday (Sep.18) in Etobicoke.

The Hawks scored their goals in the first half of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association game. Mohawk head coach Renzo Castellani said the Mountaineers played very well in the second half but it was too late against what he described as a very strong Humber team, which won a silver medal at last year’s OCAA championship.

The Mountaineers have have a draw and loss to start the new season. Mohawk is back in action on Sunday (Sept. 21) when the team travels to Oakville to play Sheridan.
