The Hamilton Bulldogs held on to a one goal lead in the third period, defeating the Lake Erie Monsters 3-2 on Halloween night.
Playing in front of 2,498 fans at Copps Coliseum. Ryan White recorded the game-winning goal while Marc Denis made 29 stops for his sixth win of the American Hockey League season.
Ben Maxwell opened the scoring for the second time in as many games at 7:34 of the opening period. Mike Glumac added the Bulldogs second marker of the period at 12:21 while on the power play. It was Glumac’s fourth goal of the campaign.
Lake Erie cut the lead in half four minutes later on a goal by T.J. Hensick.
Monsters’ Captain Brian Willsie tied the game with three minutes to play in the second period.
The Bulldogs regained the lead at 9:27 of the final frame when Ryan White potted his second goal of the season.
Hamilton hits the road tonight (Nov. 1) for a match-up in Rochester with the Americans at 7:35. The following day the
‘Dogs travel to Ricoh Coliseum to battle the Toronto Marlies at 4 p.m.
