Elite player development league set to start

A new Can Am elite baseball player development league will commence operations in Canada this spring.

The league will offer players who have the ability, or potential, to play at the highest levels of elite competition, the opportunity to play an interlocking schedule between U.S. and Canadian teams beginning in May. The Hamilton-based Canadian Thunderbirds will field three teams in three different age divisions.

All league games and tournaments will take place on weekends to avoid conflicts with rep league or triple AAA schedules in Ontario.

This conference will appeal to players who are looking for extra baseball, top competition, and quality instruction in order to help develop their skills. There are no residency restrictions for players.

Indoor tryouts for all age groups – 14 and under, 16 and under and 18 and under – will commence the last week of March and the first two weeks of April. For further information or to arrange a tryout, contact Ted Todoschuk at the Canadian office by email at ttodoschuk@cogeco.ca.
