McCoys will say ‘thank you’ on Sunday

Dundas Real McCoys want to thank their fans as they prepare for the 101st Allan Cup Tournament in Steinbach, Man., from April 13 to 18.

The four-time Robertson Cup champions are now preparing for the Cup and this Sunday (April 5) they will host Fan Day with an open practice from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the JL Grightmire Arena. The club will practice from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and then will be in the lounge for pictures with fans and the historic John Ross Robertson Cup trophy. Free pop and pizza will be the order of the day for the kids.

“This event gives us the chance to really say thank you to our fans for their great support through this season, and for their support in seasons past,” said Don Robertson, general manager, and co-coach of the Dundas Real McCoys.

“Please join the McCoys this Sunday and sign the Good Luck Banner which will travel West with the team.”

The Real McCoys go into this year’s Allan Cup healthier than ever and hope to bring the national championship for senior hockey back to Ontario again this year. The Allan Cup Tournament’s final game will be televised on TSN on Saturday, April 18.
