MLB Pitch Hit and Run rain delay

Due to heavy rain and weather alerts on May 9, the MLB Pitch, Hit and Run contest has been re-scheduled for next Saturday May 16th. Registration takes place at 9 a.m. for the free event for children ages 7 to 14 at either Sir Wilfrid Laurier School on Albright Road or at Collegiate Avenue School ball diamonds.

This local event will determine overall winners in age categories 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14 (age as of July 17) and Pitch Hit and Run champions. Winners take home ribbons (courtesy of Aquafina and Major League Baseball) then advance to the regional competition a couple of weeks later. Regional winners advance to the Toronto Blue Jays competition where the competitors have a chance to advance to the MLB All-Star game event in St. Louis, MO.

Children do not have to be registered in baseball to participate. Information is available by calling 905-594-0135.

The event is being hosted by Battlefield Babe Ruth Baseball.
