Seven and counting… losses that is.
Hamilton Thunderbirds will have to wait another day for their first win in the senior Intercounty Baseball League after a 9-1 thumping from the visiting Oshawa Dodgers on Sunday (May 24).
The Dodgers pounded out 13 hits and took advantage of four Hamilton errors to improve to 4-1 and move into a first place tie with the Brantford Red Sox. Nick Purdy homered for the Dodgers while Carter Nadovosky got the win, allowing one run on two hits over six innings with seven strikeouts and one walk.
Eric Cransberry was the losing pitcher, allowing five runs on five hits over 1 2/3 innings. John Saporsantos had two of Hamilton’s five hits.
