Hamilton Wildcat PRIDE start season with clean sweep in New Hampshire

For the Hamilton Wildcat PRIDE, the AAU basketball season began with a trip to New Hampshire. The 12th annual Seacoast Shootout tournament took place June 6 and 7 in Durham at the University of New Hampshire. The PRIDE claimed 4 wins, going undefeated against division 1, 2 and 3 teams to claim the championship. Everyone on the team kicked into gear to collectively bring the win home.

“What a way to start our season with a clean sweep the first tournament”, said coach Kim Giancani. “We had several people take notice of our team – and as Coach, I could not have been prouder to see the girls bond and pull together for some awesome games.”

Coach Kim Giancani, who founded the team, is running a program that focuses on the complete athlete. There will be an emphasis on long term player development of physical, emotional and social skills.

The Wildcat PRIDE will be traveling to the United States for four tournaments this summer, as well as playing some exhibition games locally.

Team members are: Cassidy Stafford, Raylene Seaton, Emily Kapteyn, Preet Dhami, Jaspreet Nannar, Jenel Ulman, Shauna Ciannavei, Taylor Giancani, Natasha Valconi, Carla Turco, Melissa Molon, Jessica Thomas, coach Kim Giancani and assistant coach Marina Ciannavei.
