Three members of the Hamilton Wildcat PRIDE girl’s basketball team caught the eye of Division I scouts at Villanova University in Pennsylvania – all three are returning to the PRIDE for the 2010 season. The PRIDE took two gold championships this summer in the AAU/NCAA league and was invited to play at the 2010 Division II Nationals.

The three prospects are Taylor Giancani, who is the team captain from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Hamilton, and Cassidy Stafford and Jessica Thomas both from Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Grimsby.

The three athletes received an invite to return and play with the best of the best Division 1 prospects for their respective graduation year (2011 for Taylor and Jessica and 2012 for Cassidy) on Oct. 2 at Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
