’Canes Eisho pulls in football honour


ofcHamilton’s Hurricanes Aram Eisho has been named the Ontario Football Conference’s Outstanding Defensive Player of the Week.

The ’Canes linebacker earned the junior football league’s second week honour with his outstanding performance in Hamilton’s 20-13 victory over the visiting London Beefeaters. The St. Jean de Brebeuf grad recorded 12 solo tackles, two assisted tackles, a quarterback sack, and knocked down a pass for 31 defensive points.

Eisho also recorded one special teams tackle. The 6’1” 190 pounder is the reining Canadian Junior Football League’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Also earning recognition were Danny Mullins, who quarterbacks the Ottawa Sooners and was named offensive player of the week, and London Beefeaters Miguel Wason. The kick returner was named special teams player of the week.
