The Mohawk women’s volleyball team, under new head coach Sean Pellow, travelled to St. Catharines on Wednesday (Sep. 30) for an exhibition match with the Brock University Badgers. And although they lost four sets, they acquitted themselves very well.
The scores were 16-25, 23-25, 19-25, 22-25.
The coach appeared pleased. “I think with all the changes we have made to systems, languages and expectations, along with only having eight players currently on the roster, we are at a good spot for this time of year”, said Pellow. “I will get a true gauge of where we are this weekend (at the Fanshawe Kickoff Tournament in London).
“There is still a ton of work to do and the players are working hard and trying to stay healthy at the same time.”
