The Hamilton Hurricanes may have bowed out of the Ontario Football Conference’s playoff games on the weekend, but Aram Eisho went out with a bang. The ’Canes linebacker captured his third defensive player of the week award in Hamilton’s 13-10 overtime loss to the St. Leonard Cougars.
The second-year linebacker, out of St. Jean de Brebeuf Secondary School, earned the honour on the strength of his nine solo tackles, two assisted tackles, a quarterback sack, a blocked kick, a batted ball, and two forced fumbles.
The 6’1” 190 pounder’s total of 37 defensive points also included a special teams tackle.
Eisho is last year’s national defensive junior player of the year.
