Heat cools off Bulldogs again

After winning seven in a row, the Hamilton Bulldogs absorbed their second consecutive American Hockey League defeat, losing 2-1 to the Abbotsford Heat on Saturday night in front of 5,643 fans at Copps Coliseum.

The Bulldogs got on the scoreboard first at 2:59 of the opening period. Andre Benoit fed a pass to Shawn Belle, who was positioned at the point. Belle released a wrist shot that sailed over the glove of Abbotsford goaltender David Shantz.
