Mohawk volleyballers chase men’s, women’s titles

The Mohawk Mountaineers are set to go as the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association men’s and women’s volleyball titles will be on the line this weekend (Feb. 25-27) at two different sites.

The Men’s Championship will be contested at Redeemer University College in Ancaster. The Mountaineers will face the Seneca Sting in quarter-final play Thursday at 4 p.m. The host Redeemer Royals open against London Fanshawe at 6 p.m. Other teams in the hunt include Nipissing, Durham, Fanshawe, Algonquin, and Humber.

The women’s championship is at Cambrian College in Sudbury.

Mohawk will play the Trent University Excalibur of Peterborough in a quarter-final Thursday at 5 p.m. Other teams in the Championship include Sheridan, Nipissing, Fanshawe, Durham, Humber and host Cambrian.

    I work at Redeemer and wanted you to know that Cable 14 will be at the OCAA Men’s Volleyball Championships to tape the games. The round robin will be tape delayed but the medal games on Saturday will be live!
