Thunderbirds find broadcast home on INDI 101


The Hamilton Thunderbirds are pleased to announce that they have reached a deal with INDI 101 to broadcast all 18 home games for the 2010 Intercounty Baseball League season on the radio. The first game will be on Sunday, May 2nd, when the Thunderbirds host the London Majors at Bernie Arbour Stadium at 2 p.m.

Kyle Smith, of INDI 101, will do play-by-play for all home games.

“While we prepare for the upcoming season the broadcast team and I are looking forward to this year,” says Smith. “Having worked Hamilton Cardinal Games in the past on the former C101.5FM, we are extremely excited to be back involved with the Thunderbirds and the Intercounty Baseball League. When the season kicks off on May 2nd it will be a new season for the Thunderbirds as well as for us in the broadcast booth.”

Hamilton Thunderbirds owner, Drew Brady, is extremely excited about the partnership. Brady says of the partnership “Having a local Radio Broadcast host like INDI 101 will raise the level of excitement and value for all of our fans and sponsors alike.”

Les Palango, INDI 101’s station manager, is excited about this new opportunity for the station saying “it’s great to be involved with the Hamilton Thunderbirds this year and I know that our play-by-play team is excited for the season to begin. INDI 101 is committed to providing quality broadcasting that listeners of Hamilton and the surrounding area will enjoy.”

INDI 101’s program director, Jamie Smith believes that “Hamilton’s best kept secret is no more. The Hamilton Thunderbirds are on INDI 101.”
