Skate Canada’s Western Ontario Section held its annual general meeting on May 1 and recognized the achievements of its athletes and volunteers.
The following teams and skaters were honoured:
Ice Image, Burlington – 2010 BMO Synchro Championships Medalist (Novice).
NEXXICE Open, Burlington – 2010 BMO Synchro Championships Medalist and Friends of Skating Bursary Award.
NEXXICE Junior, Burlington and Kitchener-Waterloo – 2010 Canadian Synchronized Skating Champions and Bill Phillips Bursary Award.
NEXXICE Senior, Burlington and Kitchener-Waterloo – 2010 Canadian Synchronized Skating Champions and Bill Phillips Bursary Award & Carolyn Fedy Award.
Abby Carswell and Andrew Doleman, Wentworth – 2010 BMO Skate Canada Junior Nationals Medalists and Friends of Skating Bursary Award (Junior Dance).
Rylie McCulloch-Casars, Burlington – Friends of Skating Bursary Award (Senior Women).
In addition to the skaters, WOS Coaches 25-year pins were presented to Mike Tokoryk, Burlington; Gina Doleman, Wentworth; and Alyson Eccles, Burlington.
