Hamilton is preparing to invade Flint.
This year’s edition of the CANUSA Games will take place in the Michigan city and tryouts for athletes from the Steel City are getting underway. The games alternate between the two cites each year and this event is scheduled for the August 6-8 weekend.
The schedule for tryouts includes:
Boys Basketball: Sir Allan MacNab High School, Monday (June 14), 6 to 9 p.m. Players are needed ages 9 to 17 and coaches needed for the 10/11-year-old team.
Girls Basketball: St. Thomas More High School, Wednesday (June 16), 6 to 9 p.m. Players born in 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995 and 1993 are needed.
Flag Football: Exhibition sport this year. Boys, ages 10 and under and 12 and under are needed. Contact Frank at email@example.com
Ice Hockey: Exhibition sport this year. Boys, ages 10 and under and 12 and under are needed. Players must pre-register with CANUSA Office before June 30.
Soccer: Players are needed in all age groups and coaches are needed for the boys 8 and under, and the 16 and under girls. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Tennis: Rosedale Tennis Club, Saturday (June 19), 4 p.m. and all ages are needed.
Track & Field: Mohawk Sports Park, Saturday (June 26), noon to 3 p.m.
Girls Volleyball: Cardinal Newman High School, Monday (June 14), 6 to 9 p.m. Players needed in the 15 and under and 17 and under divisions.
10 Pin Bowling: Skyway Lanes, Monday (June 14), 6:30 p.m. and players in all age groups are needed.
