Canada’s National Adaptive team is holding a camp at the St. Catharines Rowing Club, June 14 to 20.
The camp will feature the LTA (legs, trunk and arms) coxed four training group. Athletes attending include St. Catharines native Laura Comeau, Victoria Nolan, Meghan Montgomery and Tony Theriault – all from the fourth-place boat at the 2009 World Championships and Beijing Paralympians.
Rowers David Blair, Amy Alsop and Sarah Bogart will also be part of this camp.
The athletes are working toward this year’s World Rowing Championships (to be held in New Zealand in November) and building up for the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, England.
Adaptive rowing first appeared at the Paralympics in 2008 and is a fast-growing part of the sport.
