In the Marauders second game of the Ontario University Athletics season, first-year business student Chris Gordon (Pickering) scored 15 points from three tries as McMaster defeated RMC, 43-10, on Navy Blue Field in Kingston.
The win moves McMaster to 2-0 this season after their 26-5 victory over Guelph on Saturday.
Third-year commerce student Tim Doucette (Fredericton, N.B.) also had a strong game for the Maroon after scoring a try and kicking four conversions for 13 points. Doucette currently leads the team and is third in league scoring with 19 points overall.
Additionally for McMaster, Owen Smith (Trenton), Shane Stratton (Mississauga) and John Williams (Stoney Creek) all scored a try each.
Clarke O’Reilly (Kitchener) and Max Rosenkranz (Beamsville) were the only ones who crossed the line for RMC.
The Marauders remain on the road this weekend and will play the Warriors in Waterloo at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19.
