McMaster held Ontario University Athletics scoring leader Samuel Rimmer (Cheltenham) to just five points Saturday as the Marauders and Brock Badgers tied, 20-20, in St. Catharines.
McMaster is now 3-0-1 this season while Brock sits at 2-0-1.
Second year economics student Tyler Ardron (Lakefield) scored two tries in the match to lead his team while rookie Andrew Ferguson (Mississauga) added a try and conversion. Christopher Dickenson (Oakville) contributed three points off a drop goal.
Besides Rimmer’s five, Matthew Alexander (Oshawa), Micheal Lambert (Goderich) and Ty Riddick (Whitby) all scored tries for the Badgers.
McMaster moves into the second half of its 2010 season when they visit the Golden Hawks at Laurier on Friday, Oct. 1. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
