Pacioretty joins Bulldogs

The Montreal Canadiens have assigned forward Max Pacioretty to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Pacioretty, 21, played in two pre-season games with the National Hockey League Canadiens since the start of training camp, producing two assists. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound left winger played in 18 games with the American Hockey League Bulldogs last season earning 11 points (two goals, nine assists) and 10 penalty minutes.

The native of New Canaan, Connecticut also played in 52 games with the Canadiens in 2009-10, recording 14 points (three goals, 11 assists). Pacioretty was selected in the first round, 22nd overall by Montreal in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
