Mohawk women make it six in a row

The Mohawk Mountaineers swept a pair of volleyball games and split two basketball games Saturday (Nov. 13).

The women’s volleyball team rolled to its sixth straight Ontario Colleges Athletic Association victory, defeating Redeemer 3-1 in Ancaster. The Royals saw their record drop to 3-2.

The Mohawk men swept Redeemer 3-0. The Mountaineers are now 3-1 and the Royals are 2-2.

In basketball, the men improved to 5-1 with a 95-73 verdict over Sheridan at the Fennell Gym. The Bruins slipped to 1-1.

But Sheridan won the women’s game, 83-53, for their second consecutive win to start the season. The Mountaineers continued to struggle and are now 0-4.
