Hamilton’s Dave Andreychuk presented Scott Park Minor Hockey Vice President Dan Turple with 15 sets of hockey equipment from The Dave Andreychuk Foundation over the weekend.

Scott Park also received 15 sets from the Gotta B Dundas Committee, through the National Hockey League Players Association’s contribution to Hockeyville. The equipment presentation was made in the Dave Andreychuk Arena last Sunday as part of a fundraising day for Hamilton Minor Hockey and the Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation.

Dundas Real McCoys President and General Manager, and Gotta B Dundas Committee member Don Robertson also took part. Robertson had a role in ensuring that Turple’s minor hockey group would receive the much needed hockey gear. Turple, a former Atlanta Thrashers goaltending prospect now plays for the Real McCoys. Last spring (April) he helped the club advance to the Allan Cup Tournament at Fort St. John, British Columbia.

  1. Congratulations to all three in the photograph. It takes a lot of good will and focussed intention to get things done. Having met all three of you during the production of CBC’s kraft Hockeyville, I can say the families in Scott Park are fortunate that you do what you do. Keep it up!
