The Montreal Canadiens have recalled centre Ryan White from the Hamilton Bulldogs.
White will join the National Hockey League Canadiens in Ottawa, for Friday’s (Jan. 21) game against the Senators at Scotiabank Place.
White, 22, has played in 28 games with the Bulldogs this season recording 10 points (two goals, eight assists) while serving 64 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 198-pound centre played in 16 games with the Canadiens last season recording two assists and 16 penalty minutes and played in 62 games with Hamilton posting 34 points (17 goals, 17 assists) and leading the team in penalty minutes with 173.
The native of Brandon, Man., was selected in the third round, 66th overall by Montreal in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
While White heads to the nation’s capital, the Bulldogs will travel to Connecticut to battle the Whale on Friday at 7 p.m. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broad casts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
