The Marauders were fired up in the first quarter and the Mustangs were a little slow to the start as McMaster went into the second quarter up by six. In the second, though the Mustangs would come roaring back and would bring the score within three, 33-30, going into halftime thanks to game-high scorer Andrew Wedemire (Sarnia). His work on the post proved effective against the Marauders as the fifth-year senior scored 19 points on the night.

It was smooth sailing for the Marauders after halftime as they out shot the Mustangs 25-12 in the third. Cam Michaud (Grimsby) would record another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds and Scott Laws (Gormley) would lead the Marauders in scoring on the night with 14 points and 5 assists.
