The Hamilton Bulldogs and the Manitoba Moose will meet each other in the American Hockey League’s North Division final series. Tickets for Games 1 and 2 at Copps Coliseum in the best-of-seven series are on sale and all tickets are $20.50.
The Bulldogs defeated the Oklahoma City Barons in six games in their best-of-seven North Division semi-final affair while the Moose defeated the Lake Erie Monsters in seven games in series.
The Bulldogs have home-ice advantage by virtue of their first place finish in the North Division. The Moose finished the regular season in third place in the division and Hamilton had a 6-0-0-2 record against Manitoba in the regular season. After the first two game at Copps, the series goes to Winnipeg for Games 3, 4 and 5 (if necessary). If Games 6 and 7 are needed, the teams will return to Hamilton.
This will be the third time the teams have played each other in the second round and the fourth time the clubs have met in the Calder Cup playoffs. They met previously in the 2003 Eastern Conference semi-final, the 2007 North Division final and the 2010 North Division semi-final. The Bulldogs were victorious on all three occasions.
