Ringette group extends free invite at Mohawk 4 Ice

The Hamilton Ringette Association is extending an invitation to anyone interested in learning about the game.

The association’s Come Try Ringette Event is scheduled for Saturday, June 11 at the Mohawk 4 Ice Centre. It gets underway at 2 p.m. with on-ice activities followed by an information session with refreshments at 3 p.m.

The event is free of charge.

Participants are asked to bring a warm jacket, gloves, skates and a helmet. Limited skates and helmets for those who may not have their own will be provided at no charge.

On-line pre-registration is encouraged by going to the association’s website, www.hamiltonringette.ca

Ringette is very similar to hockey. The most noticeable differences are the puck is replaced with a larger ring and the sticks have no blade.
