The London Majors scored twice in both the sixth and eighth innings to defeat the Hamilton Thunderbirds 6-2 in the lone game played in the Intercounty Baseball League on Friday night.
It was the first game in the Intercounty since Friday, May 13th, which totaled eight games being postponed due to poor field and weather conditions.
The Thunderbirds dropped to 0-4 after the loss, while the Majors won their first game of the season.
Tyler Graham singled, homered, had two stolen bases and two runs batted in to lead the Majors to victory. Allan Cattrysse also had two hits and scored twice in the win.
Mike Arsenault pitched a complete game allowing just five hits and two runs – both earned – with five walks and six strikeouts.
Graeme Carey had two hits for Hamilton in the loss, while James Anderson and Darnell Duckett each had a hit and an RBI.
Matt Martinow pitched eight complete innings in the loss, giving up eight hits and six runs – five earned – with one walk and seven strikeouts.
Hamilton was charged with three errors.
