Panthers feel the sting of Mosquito Cards

After being held to only three runs in their last outing, the Hamilton Cardinals Major Mosquito T1 team’s bats were itching to tear the leather off the ball. Hamilton remains undefeated after three games.

Battling the elements in cold and soggy Kitchener on Wednesday (May 25), the Cardinals opened up a 4-0 lead after the top of the first and never looked back, on their way to a 16-3 trouncing of the Panthers in InterCounty Baseball Association action.

Steven Lemay continues to swing a hot bat this season going two-for-two with a walk, three runs-batted-in, and scoring three times. Joel Wallace and Ian Jordan also went 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBI each.

Starting pitcher Sam Coons went two innings on the hill, giving up two runs on three hits with a pair of walks. Reliever Joel Wallace allowed one run, gave up one hit, walked one and struck out two in two innings of work.
