Hamilton FC Rage tame Fury in USL play

Hamilton FC Rage were in capital form, thumping the Ottawa Fury, 5-0, in United Soccer League play on Sunday (May 29) at Ivor Wynne Stadium.

Playing in their inaugural season in the USL Professional Development League (PDL), Hamilton took control of the game early when Dominic Bell scored just seven minutes into the contest. Bell headed Anthony DiBase’s corner kick to get the balling rolling for the Rage.

Another DiBase corner kick was converted into a goal when Rene De Zorzi headed the ball into the net.

Evan James finished the route for the Rage, scoring at the 87th minute.

The men are in Chicago on June 3, then home to London at June 7 at Brian Timmis Field.

The women Rage, playing in the W-League, were less fortunate. They dropped a 1-0 decision leaving them with a 0-2 record.
