Extra inning setback leaves Minor PeeWee Cards with 3-3 record

The Hamilton Minor PeeWee Cardinals dropped their Inter-County Baseball League record to 3-3, losing 10-9 in extra innings to the Kitchener Panthers.

Starting pitcher Kole Bishop went three innings, giving up four runs on a grandslam home run in the bottom of the third inning. Bishop struck out five during his outing before he was relieved by David Candy. Candy went an inning and a third giving up three runs (two unearned) and striking out one.

Jacob Underwood pitched the final three and two third innings, taking the loss, giving up three unearned runs and striking out two. At the plate, Underwood reached base four times on three walks and a single. He scored three runs in five trips to the plate.

Ayden Hannon also scored twice after reaching on a walk and being hit by a pitch.

The Cardinals left the bases loaded in the top of the eighth when the final out was recorded.
