The Hamilton Cardinals Minor Peewee team started a busy week of four games in six days on the right foot by beating the Waterloo Tier 2 Tigers 15-4 in 5 innings.
Cardinals starter David Candy pitched 2 hitless innings and recorded 3 strikeouts. He was relieved by Noah Britt, who recorded the win by tossing 3 innings, with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk and yielding an unearned run. Nolan Gallo closed out the game with 3 strikeouts and 3 earned runs.
The Cardinals bats started slowly as their first run wasn’t scored until the second inning despite having two runners reach third base in the first inning.
