The PeeWee Cardinals were looking forward to this weekend’s prestigious Mississauga North Tournament and used a little strategy when they played the London Badgers in a battle of top teams in the InterCounty Baseball Association this week.
Using a strategy to save pitching, the Cardinals ran out seven different pitchers on the night and came away with an impressive 4-0 road victory.
The winning pitcher was Elliot Graham, who found himself on the hill at the right time as the Cards scored two runs in the third and another two in the fourth inning. Grant Amorim and Mitchell Rossit led the Cards attack with two hits and an RBI each. Brendan Kelly-Reutz and Brendan d’Agostino also had an RBI in the win.
All Cardinal players contributed to the win as they improved their record to a league best 12-0.
